About the Author
Aaron Louis Gibson was born in the San Francisco Bay Area, the second son of Constance and Franklin Gibson. A self-taught bassist, he shared his passion for music through years of performing, recording, and teaching lessons. Now based on the central Oregon coast—where he has lived since 1998—Aaron has performed across the United States, as well as in China and Romania, taking the stage at major Bass Events and the NAMM Show. Along the way, he teamed up with Grammy Award–winning producer Nahuel Bronzini to make music together and present at the SF Music Expo.
Aaron’s work has been highlighted by publications such as NoTreble, Bass Musician Magazine, Corey Spins, OliverArditi.com, B-Sides & Badlands, A&M Arts Examiner, American Pancake, and Dead.net—where his unique blend of storytelling and bass-driven melodies has garnered growing interest. To date, he has recorded four full-length albums and about twenty singles, each rooted in the eclectic influences he’s absorbed over the years.
When he’s not teaching full-time at a local high school or writing new music, Aaron is hard at work on his first science fiction novel, Wave Glass. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, and their five children, where he continues to create and occasionally slip away to the nearest forest for a fresh dose of inspiration.
